CLEANER STREET RATS REDUCED BETTER FOOD FOR FAMILY
I truly believe the time is now to eradicate the behavior of illegal dumping of trash. Measures will be created to start working on solutions to reduce/manage the rodent population
Composting - We must have clean public space and an environment to foster our green initiatives. My plan is to work with all the businesses, especially food servicing businesses. We must take a hands-on approach to all challenges that have not allowed the 36TH district community to maintain a healthy environment and stay clean.
Revisiting the funding which may provide:
· Rodent proof trash cans
· Partnering and looking at composting
· Using cameras for problematic areas of extreme trash build up and dumping.
Provide part time employment to community youth. Which will log complaints document legal dumping in their neighborhoods.
Engage multi-family residential buildings and businesses to practice trash containment. Pedestrian sidewalks must and will be powered wash to remove stench and any type of foreign smell.
Our district transit stations that has been neglected for far too long and should receive the quality and much needed scheduled deep cleaning. As tax payers we should be able to walk on clean sidewalks. Photographs depict the current unacceptable state in this district.
